Calls by river cruises continue to rise in 2017

The number of calls by river cruise vessels in the ACP area increased once more in 2017 and rose to 2,855.

These types of vessels are subdivided into three categories: vessels up to and including 90 metres, vessels up to and including 110 metres, and vessels up to and including 135 metres.

With 663, 149 and 110 calls respectively, Amsterdam, Hoorn and Enkhuizen score high in the middle category. In the group of the largest vessels, Hoorn and Amsterdam also clocked up impressive numbers – 166 and 1006, respectively. It is striking that Medemblik, with 35 calls, scores higher in this category than Enkhuizen, which received 22.

The figures were provided by Bataviahaven Lelystad, Felison Cruise Terminal IJmuiden, Port of Amsterdam, Port of Alkmaar, Port of Enkhuizen, Port of Haarlem, Port of Hoorn, Port of Huizen, Port of Zaanstad, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, Port of Den Helder and Stadshavens Medemblik.
