Den Helder

Historical weekend Den Helder

At only a few minutes walking from the harbor you will find Willemsoord. The old harbor where they used to build the ships for the navy. Nowadays Willemsoord is a beautiful spot for the visitors of Den Helder; Navy museum, Lifeguard museum, cinema, theater, several restaurant, bars and the area for several events during the year.
Visit for example the historical weekend at the Willemsoord. Hundreds of classic cars, historic old engines and trucks, agricultural tractors, military vehicles and fire trucks along with beautiful old cargo ships, fishing boats, steam tugs and other sailing maritime heritage guarantee a great event. The historic market, the spectacular tours for the classic vehicles, children’s activities and several appearances with song, dance and music provide two great days.

Cruise Port Harlingen: Jewel in the Wadden sea

As one of Holland’s oldest seaports going back to the 13th century, and with a population of around just 16,000 people, Harlingen offers a wonderful contrast to Amsterdam, where the merchant houses, canals and inner harbours serve as an open-air museum instantly taking guests back to the Dutch Golden Age of shipping.
