The city has an impressive three Golden Age museums: the Westfries Museum, the VOC Museum Ship ‘De Halve Maen’ (The Crescent Moon) and Museumhuis Bonck. How people lived, who they traded with, which important discoveries were made, or the type of art which used to feature on Hoorn’s walls.
 
Various extra special activities have been organised, as 2019 is the Year of Rembrandt and the Golden Age. There are numerous ways of discovering the Golden Age in Hoorn.
