Maritieme Afvalstoffen Inzameling Nederland heeft meer dan 20 jaar ervaring met het inzamelen en verwerken van scheepsafvalstoffen. Tevens beschikt MAIN over specialistische kennis op het gebied van (scheeps)reiniging. In de havens van Den Helder verzorgt MAIN de levering van drinkwater en walspanning. Sinds 2001 neemt het bedrijf in opdracht van het Ministerie van V&W deel aan het zogenaamde vuilvis project.

MAIN is ISO 9001-2000 en ISO 14000-2004 gecertificeerd en streeft tijdens het uitvoeren van haar activiteiten naar een nauwkeurige opvolging van de Wet Milieubeheer, het Landelijk Afvalbeheer Plan en de voorschriften in de aan MAIN verleende vergunningen.
